Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Dades valley

Your 3-day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour begins in the morning as we cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, passing through traditional Berber villages nestled in the mountains. Our journey takes us to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning architecture and its role in famous films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring its ancient alleys and panoramic views, we continue to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert.

Driving along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, we’ll admire the beautiful valleys and ancient fortresses before reaching Roses Valley, famous for its fragrant rose products and trees. We arrive in Boumalne Dades in the evening, where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable lodge.

Day 2: Dades valley – Todra Gorges & Valley – Sahara desert (Night in a desert tents)

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Todra Valley, lined with palm trees, to reach the impressive Todra Gorges. Take a short walk through the towering cliffs before heading to Tinjdad or Touroug for lunch (Optional). In the afternoon, arrive at Merzouga desert, where you’ll go on a camel trek into the Sahara Desert. Enjoy an incredible sunset over the dunes, then settle into a desert camp for the overnight stay, complete with a traditional dinner and Berber music around the campfire.

Day 3: Sahara desert – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Return to Marrakech

Expect a full day of travel as we return from the Merzouga desert to Marrakech, a 9-hour drive. An early start will reward you with a stunning sunrise over the dunes. Following breakfast at the camp, you’ll journey back to Merzouga via 4×4 or camel, as preferred. The drive to Marrakech will take us through Nqob, the Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate, where we’ll pause for lunch. We will travel back through the Atlas Mountains, arriving around 8:00 PM, concluding our Marrakech to Merzouga 3-day desert tour.

1:What is the distance between Marrakech and Merzouga?

The direct drive from Merzouga to Marrakech is 554 km and should have a drive time of around 9H. Therefore, it will be broken up into two days as you will spend the first night in the Dades Valley or Ouarzazate. But, on the last day of our 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, you will have a direct drive back to Marrakech with a few stops along the way.

2:Can we bring our luggage with us during the trip?

Don’t worry, our cars are very spacious and have special place for your bags, and staff.

3:How do i take my luggage to the camp?

While you’re on the camel ride, we’ll bring your stuff to the camp. When you get there, you’ll find it in your tents.

4:Is it possible to have Vegetarian or Vegan Meals?
